Trayectoria<\/h3>

Profesor-Investigador del DESOJ-ITESO. Trabaj\u00f3 40 a\u00f1os en la Universidad Veracruzana. Investigador Em\u00e9rito del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores de M\u00e9xico. Doctor en Sociolog\u00eda por la New <\/span>School<\/span> for<\/span> Social <\/span>Research<\/span> (1992). Especialista en temas de sociedad civil, participaci\u00f3n ciudadana y democratizaci\u00f3n en Am\u00e9rica Latina, y m\u00e1s recientemente atiende temas de violencia y justicia en M\u00e9xico. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

Cuanta con m\u00e1s<\/span> de 100 art\u00edculos y cap\u00edtulos de libro publicados, as\u00ed como 10 libros editados y de autor, entre ellos <\/span><\/span>La Disputa por la Construcci\u00f3n Democr\u00e1tica en Am\u00e9rica Latina<\/span><\/span>, FCE, 2006. Tiene amplia experiencia como activista en organizaciones de la sociedad civil prodemocr\u00e1tica, y como miembro de comit\u00e9s y consejos consultivos de instituciones gubernamentales federales.
